What gets a crafter's heart more a-thumping than an adorable Valentine's Day wreath? To celebrate the most romanticĀ holiday around, we wanted to create a soft and sweet tulle wreath to enchant every guest's heart that enters your home.
Although the colors we chose are specifically for Valentine's Day, we have a great variety of tulle ribbon tonesĀ to use this technique with - so any holiday or theme is open for you to try!

Supplies
You can buy all of the supplies in one easy step using our Wreath Recipe⢠here.
- Ivory TulleĀ - Used about 12 Yards
- Coral TulleĀ - UsedĀ about 12 Yards
- Red TulleĀ - UsedĀ about 12 Yards
- Fuchsia TulleĀ - UsedĀ about 12 Yards
- Pink TulleĀ - UsedĀ about 12 Yards
- 12" Wire Wreath
- Mini ChalkboardĀ Pennants

Start with one color of tulle and cut Ā 4 inch strips. The wreath takes 108Ā strips of each color - which is about 12 yards from each tulle ribbon.
Cut all colors

Make a loop, place it underneath the second ring & pull the tails through to create a knot. Make sure ends are even when creating knot.

We placed our knots in a pattern of Red, Coral, Pink, Fuchsia, and White.

We fit about Ā 30 knots on the 2nd ring, 25 on the 3rd and 20 on the inner ring. The amount is an estimate - place enough to fill the rings comfortably.

Keep knotting until your wreath is complete!
The chalkboard pennants come with a natural jute rope but if you'd preferĀ some color variety, we also sell dyed jute twine andĀ Baker's twine.Ā After choosing your rope, decide on a word or phrase and string the matching number of pennants onto the rope.
Write with chalk your phrase onto the pennants before hanging.

Secure roping to empty outer ring, flip over and hang your wreath!

The total time spent knotting was about three hours. This project is also easy enough to do with children as the technique isn't difficult. You'll just need to supervise whileĀ cutting the tulle.
The total cost of supplies used for this wreath wasĀ just over $15. However, that leaves enough tulle left over to make a secondĀ wreath, meaning the cost to make two wreaths is just $18 -- or only $9 each!
