📌 Disclaimer: This tutorial was first published in September 2017. Some links may no longer work and any pricing mentioned may be outdated. The techniques and methods, however, remain valid—so we're happy to keep sharing it.
This tutorial features only a few products, but we used them intelligently to keep the project from going bland. Â By shredding the mesh, we created extra texture and sparkle, and we shaped the bats to make this project really pop. Â They perform double duty by creating a frame around Billy, keeping the emphasis on him, but also encouraging the eye to travel around the entire design. Â He was created on a work rail, but think he would look equally great on the new black teardrops that just arrived!

PRO TIP: Â To maximize visual balance and improve the final look of the project, use the wires on the bats to stretch out their placement around the wreath. Â For each pick, imagine the individual bats as the points of a triangle.

22" Work Rail Form: Metallic Black
Uh Oh!  It looks like we've run out of the black work rail form until after Halloween this year.  However, because the tinsel ties are hidden in the final product, you can certainly use another color, especially one of the colors also featured in this project like  Lime Green.   We also think the skeleton would look great on this black teardrop form, but it would require a little bit of modification from the techniques illustrated in our video.
