Creating a Multi-Ribbon Fall Bow and Decorating a Pumpkin

📌 Disclaimer: This tutorial was first published in October 2014. Some links may no longer work and any pricing mentioned may be outdated. The techniques and methods, however, remain valid—so we're happy to keep sharing it.

No more checking on rotting carved pumpkins! These beautifully-bowed pumpkins will last all season and for years to come.

This tutorial is great for those who want to learn how to make a multi-ribbon bow, beginners and experts alike. The pumpkin's not the only limit as well, you can use this technique to make bows in many other themes for every occasion. Use it to decorate gifts, banisters, wreaths, fence posts, anything your heart desires a bow upon.

Supplies:

You'll also need: Wire Cutters, Scissors, a Yardstick or Ruler, and some floral wire. We used Burlap Tinsel Roping , which is a great decorative wire that's easy to use.

This project took our experienced designer only seven minutes to make, but if you're a beginner, don't be discouraged if it takes longer! The materials for the project are about $46, but you will have lots of ribbon left over to use on other craft projects to match your pumpkin, or you could even make multiple pumpkins (They come in two more sizes - 10 inch , and 8 inch).
