How I Made a $9 Mailbox Swag Look Designer

Turn an inexpensive mailbox swag into designer-style holiday décor with this easy DIY tutorial. I’ll show you how to layer artificial greenery, pinecones, and wired ribbon from CraftOutlet.com to create a luxe Christmas look that costs less than $40 to make. Shop our holiday greenery sprays, D'Lux ribbons, and swags to get the look!  (Our shoppable supply list is below 👇)

Notes:

  • While not specifically marketed as an outdoor ribbon, our LX series ribbon is 100% polyester satin with heavy duty wired edges. We feel confident it will survive 4-6 weeks on the mailbox!  Using quality ribbon with heavy duty wire will help prevent sagging in the elements.
  • To secure the swag to the mailbox, use floral wire (or any other wire), long chenille stems (pipe cleaners), string, long cable ties, or anything similar to connect the two sides underneath the mailbox.

I was able to make this for under $50. I especially love the quality of the D’Lux ribbon.

It looks beautiful, and reasonable on the pricing, but it isn’t just 9 dollars?
