Wired edge ribbons (from Craft Outlet or otherwise) may not always be a single continuous piece.  In cases where a spool has been spliced, the factory has been instructed to provide 6" or more of extra ribbon to make up for any associated waste.

Most spools will be continuous without splices, but not all. Customers finding a splice will typically adjust their bows to hide the splice within a fold.

Pretty, Vibrant Colors but THIN wire and ribbon

Its true what they say...you get what you pay for. This ribbon is very thin and loses it shape quite easily. It will also fade indoors, as Im already seeing in a morning sun-facing window, sadly. For under $6.00, its a fair price for a low to middle of the road quality ribbon. However, even at this pricepoint, I think the wire should be sturdier. If you're looking for COLOR COLOR COLOR and don't mind thin wire and ribbon--this will probably work just fine. I would NOT put it outside, even on a screened porch or other covered area.
