This battery-operated candle looks like the real deal because it pretty much is.  Real, textured wax is molded around the electronic base, and the top is shaped as if the candle has melted from being lit.  The shape cups the faux flame so that the light plays off of and shines through the wax for a warm glow.  The "flame" is plastic and lit with two warm-white LED lights that flicker.  A steady flame and timer options are available with the compatible remote control, sold separately.
