Plastic Canvas is our favorite new wreath-making trend! Â By providing a customizable surface area, it's opening up all kinds of creative possibilities. Â You might have seen it used to make flower centers before, but check out what else it can do:
We experimented with a few different looks by adding signs and making the word "Welcome" out of glamour rope.

$29.60But wait! We did the math, and for those of you who like to make multiples and sell them, you can get your cost down to $12.73 per pencil when you get enough supplies to make five pencils. We did our calculations with the assumption you will use some burlap to finish the back.
To make five pencils with finished backs, you will need:
4 rolls yellow burlap
2 sheets plastic canvas (pre-plan your cuts so you get the most out of each sheet)
5 work rails
and just ONE of everything else!
Total cost is $63.55 (divided by 5 = $12.73)
Measurements breakdown:
Pencilpink burlap - 40"
gray burlap - 11"
yellow burlap - 243"
white burlap - 24"
black burlap - 5"
Pencil Backing
yellow burlap - 34" (two 17-inch-long strips)
all other burlap - 7" each
